Hardee’s Partners with Huddle to Provide Ticket Printing for VA. High School Athletic Events

Sports Ticket Program Will Direct Money for Printing Back into 300 Virginia Schools

RICHMOND, Va. (Sept. 3, 2014) – Hardee’s® franchise restaurants in Virginia are partnering with Huddle Inc. to launch an initiative to help 300 high schools in the state by paying all printing costs for school athletic events throughout this school year.

Hardee’s franchise restaurants owned and operated by Boddie-Noell Enterprises across Virginia will supply the high schools with tickets for all men and women’s major sports athletic events starting with football this month and continuing with sports events through May 2015. In total, more than 4.6 million tickets will be printed through this program saving the schools $240,000.

The average high school typically spends about $800 in printing costs for sports tickets each school year. Now these funds can be redirected to other important resources for the classroom. Hardee’s special discount offers will be printed on the back of each ticket.

“Participation in programs that support education and athletic opportunities for local communities is important at Boddie-Noell and Hardee’s. This program will offset the costs of tickets so that schools can focus more on resources for their classrooms,” said Jerry Allsbrook, chief marketing officer for franchise operator Boddie-Noell, which owns 173 Hardee’s throughout Virginia. “We’re excited for Hardee’s to become a friend for students, fans, parents and athletes throughout the school year.”

The High School Ticket Program was launched by Huddle Inc. in 2001. For over a decade, this program has allowed sponsoring companies, like Hardee’s, the opportunity to serve its neighbors throughout communities across the country. Since its inception, the program has provided more than 10,000 high schools in 50 states with 1.3 billion free event tickets and a combined $30 million in budget relief.
